Job summary

Grinnell College is seeking Roundsperson staff to support the Marketplace venues under Executive Chef Scott Turley. Full-time employees receive health/dental/vision, life insurance, 403B, and a $2.00/hour shift premium after 6pm on weekdays and on weekends.

The role requires efficient, safety-conscious food prep in a fast-paced environment and collaboration with student employees to deliver high-quality culinary experiences for the Grinnell College community.

• Proficient in food pre-preparation and production

• Read, understand, prep and prepare foods using standardized Grinnell Dining recipes
• Utilize proper culinary techniques when prepping and preparing food items and recipes
• Routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and venue

Are youlooking for an opportunity to grow in the culinary world?Under the leadership and guidance of award-winning Executive Chef Scott Turley, Roundsperson staff members are able to produce a wide range of culinary delights and provide exemplary service to the Grinnell College community. Working side by side with student employees, Roundsperson staff members oversee the different food venues within the Marketplace.Our full-time employees enjoy greathealth insurance,paid vacation/sick time,Dental/Vision/STD/LTD and Life insurance, along with403B contribution.All hours worked past 6pm weekdays and all hours on Sat/Sun earn a $2.00 perhour shift premium.The ideal candidate would be efficient in a fast-paced environment, proficient in comprehending service levels, maintain safety and sanitation standards, effectively partner with a diverse team, and possess a passion for the culinary arts.
