We have an opening for full time and part time DINING/BAR SUPERVISOR positions.

Location: Detroit Institute of Arts - 5200 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time and part time schedule; Tuesday through Sunday. Hours may vary. 5-day weekly work schedule. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior supervisory and banquet captain experience is preferred.

Pay Rate: $23.00 to $30.00 per hour.

Job Summary: Provides the first level of supervision of food, beverage, and meal services while also overseeing production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Ensures high quality, good-tasting and well-presented food and beverages are served within established time frames.
  2. Reviews menu and other production needs to oversee and manage daily functions.
  3. Monitors staff daily to ensure all systems, protocols and quality assurance tools are utilized correctly.
  4. Visits guest service areas to assess satisfaction levels.
  5. Communicates to staff regularly, both formally and informally.
  6. Enforces safety standards with employees.
  7. Ensures sanitation standards are enforced daily and signs-off on cleaning procedures.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.
