Miss J’s Diner is seeking a hands-on, motivated General Manager to lead daily operations, deliver an outstanding guest experience, and develop staff. You will manage food quality, service speed, and overall diner performance in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates bring hospitality leadership, strong communication, and a ServSafe certification. Mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays are required; this role focuses on creating a welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere in New York.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in restaurant or diner management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with inventory, scheduling, and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: supervise front- and back-of-house operations and ensure quality.
• Team Leadership: hire, train, and manage staff; schedule shifts; coach and review.
• Customer Experience: maintain warm, friendly service and guest satisfaction.
• Financial Management: monitor costs, handle cash, budgets, and reporting.
