Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Clackamas, Oregon seeks a Part/Dimensional Engineer to design specifications and ensure dimensional accuracy for investment castings.

You will interact with customers, tooling teams, and QA to drive manufacturing processes, quality, and schedule adherence. You will develop patterns, routers, and cost-reduction plans, while ensuring compliance with PCC procedures and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS degree in engineering with 5-8 years relevant experience, or MS degree in engineering with 3-4 years relevant experience.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical, industrial, materials science engineering along with investment casting technology.
• Knowledge and demonstrated ability in engineering principles; employed manufacturing processes; statistical analysis; technical reports and specifications; ability to plan and complete major projects; ability to supervise professionals.
• Experience using Computer Aided Design, Statistical programs, Excel, SolidView, Unigraphics or Catia is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design specifications, requirements compliance, and customer interface on production information for manufacturing.
• Interact with customers and tooling personnel.
• Conduct manufacturing process reviews and develop tools/procedures for customers' needs.
• Coordinate with QA and production in preparing information for investment castings.
• Develop part routers and assist in quotes and cost reduction initiatives.
