Job summary

Magna Cosma International seeks an experienced Dimensional Controls Specialist to lead the development, launch, and ongoing oversight of dimensional processes across programs. You will program and operate CMM/Hexagon systems, analyze measurement data, and drive corrective actions to meet stringent customer targets.

You will collaborate with customers and internal teams, provide technical guidance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic automotive environment.

Qualifications

• HR Diploma or GED required.
• 2-year degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• 7-10 years work related experience or equivalent.
• 2 years' experience programming Zeiss / GOMs Scanning Units.
• 2 years interpreting and responding to coordinate measurement reports with automotive OEMs.
• GOMs / Zeiss Programming (Certification Preferred).
• Polyworks Inspect Programming (Certification Preferred).
• Statistical Process Control Management.
• Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) preferred.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) familiar.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface with customers and internal teams to ensure dimensional requirements are met and maintained.
• Lead development, launch, and ongoing oversight of dimensional control processes from program launch through series production.
• Program, operate, and support dimensional measurement systems and metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, Hexagon) to ensure product compliance.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to dimensional data from measurement equipment and in‑process sensors, including daily process stability reviews.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and validation efforts for dimensional issues, ensuring timely closure and repeat issue prevention.
• Drive dimensional improvement initiatives to meet customer quality targets (PPM, incidents, RMAs) and support FMEA RPN reduction.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities, customer engagements, and interdepartmental studies while providing training and technical guidance to teams.
