Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Promontory, UT is seeking a Dimensional Calibration Technician – Level 2 for an onsite role with a 4/10 schedule and a Friday off. Start times are around 5:30am to 6:00am, with calibration of diverse measuring instruments and close collaboration with mentors and program teams.

The technician will calibrate a wide range of devices, maintain NIST traceability, and ensure ISO 17025 compliance. A strong foundation in metrology tools and field/lab work is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related training or experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret clearance.
• Experience using dimensional measuring equipment and calibration procedures.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 and quality control concepts.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate dimensional test and measuring equipment to conform to established standards.
• Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, force, and pressure-type instruments.
• Set up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures from drawings and specs.
• Disassemble and clean instruments as required to perform calibration.
• Monitor and verify quality per SPC and control procedures.
• Independently perform operations to calibrate and certify M&TE with traceability to NIST.
• Other duties as assigned
