Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Magna, UT seeks a Calibration Technician – Level 2 to join our team on an onsite basis. The role calibrates diverse instruments, follows detailed blueprints, and works under a mentor until training is complete.

Expect 4/10 schedule with Friday off; must lift up to 50 pounds and operate in field and lab settings. Candidates should have a high school diploma and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Experience with calibrated hand tools, machining or metal component fabrication or testing/calibration procedures.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates electronic and dimensional test and measuring equipment to set standards.
• Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures from drawings and specifications.
• Disassembles and cleans instruments for calibration; monitors quality per procedures.
• Maintain backlog and ensure promised turnaround time for customers; schedule field work with customers.
