Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related education and/or experience with tool building and laser tracking in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience devising reference systems and creating working build models.
• Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 35 pounds and ascend and descend ladders.
• Ability to work inside and outside in a warehouse environment and a shop floor environment.
• Experience with MS applications (Word, Excel, PDF).

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, and assemble standard and nonstandard major jigs, fixtures, tool masters, master tooling gauges, and related tooling involving precise tolerances.
• Set up and operate optical instruments to check alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies.
• Develop and design holding devices and jig/fixture details.
• Prepare operational sequences and shop drawings for parts fabrication and assembly.
• Monitor and verify quality using statistical process control or other procedures.
