Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with required related experience in tool building and laser tracking in manufacturing
• Experience devising reference systems and creating working build models
• Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 35 pounds and ascend/descend ladders
• Ability to work inside and outside in a warehouse and shop floor environment
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Clearance prior to starting
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to starting

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, and assemble major jigs, fixtures, tool masters, tool gauges and related tooling with tight tolerances
• Plan work and determine methods and sequence from tool design drawings or own designs
• Set up and operate optical instruments to check alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies
• Develop and design holding devices and jig/fixture details
• Prepare shop drawings and operational sequences for fabrication and assembly
• May monitor and verify quality using statistical process or other control procedures
