Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Technician – Level 3 at the Clearfield, UT site. You will join the Manufacturing Operations Organization within the Aeronautics Systems sector, performing hands-on fabrication and inspection with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work various shifts, and compliance with security requirements. Candidates with relevant experience in aerospace manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and at least 4 years in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing or maintenance.
• Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 35 pounds, and working overhead.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Translate blueprints into fabrication of structural assemblies including drilling, countersinking, and calibrated tools.
• Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
• Perform part-fitting operations: filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
• Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Modify assemblies per changes and verify quality per control procedures.
• Daily use of manufacturing shop controls and systems.
• Use PPE on the shop floor.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement in production methods and equipment.
