Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is seeking a Digitization Specialist to support our government customer at Kirkland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role is part of a high-volume production team digitizing media across documents, photos, films, microfiche, maps, and drawings.

Candidates should be able to learn new processes and follow procedures with detail. Required qualifications include US citizenship and an active SECRET clearance, with potential to obtain TOP SECRET after hire.

Qualifications

• High School Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provide production digitization according to priorities set by the Ops Manager.
• Maintain a standard file naming convention and file structure.
• Ensure by-item traceability and tracking.
• Upload resulting digital files to the Data Lake, unless file sizes require alternate storage.
• Maintain a clean and food free environment for digitization activities.
• Follow original media preservation best practices.
• Ensure other media are stored and handled in a secure area.
• Repair or clean if needed.
• Evaluate other media items, log markings, and enter into STARS.
• Evaluate newly received other media items for integrity and preservation needs.
• Ability to meet production digitization output quotas and quality standards.
