Job summary

University of Maryland Libraries seeks a Digitization Services Coordinator to lead in‑house digitization at the Hornbake Digitization Center and oversee outsourced work. You will hire and supervise student staff, ensure quality of files and metadata, and manage vendor quotes and production statistics.

You will stay current with digitization standards, prepare documentation, and collaborate with the Head of Digital Collections in a production‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of digitization project management experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience and certificates in archives or digital curation are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage in-house digitization operations and coordinate with vendors.
• Hire, train, and supervise hourly student assistants for digitization work.
• Establish QA standards and oversee metadata and file quality for digital repositories.
• Maintain procedural documentation and research evolving digitization standards.
