Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Digitization Production Assistant to support the NBC Sports Group in Stamford, CT. The role focuses on day-to-day and long-term asset management in a shared storage environment, handling digitization decisions, metadata entry, and coordinating footage requests.

The successful candidate will assist with editing metadata, tracking shipments, and supporting production teams with searches and screeners, while ensuring assets are updated as they move through the building.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in TV Production or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum one year of familiarity with Avid non-linear editing software.
• Minimum one year of experience supporting Windows operating environment.
• Minimum one year of prior studio/remote sports production experience.
• Strong sports knowledge and communication skills.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Prior sports experience or experience as a media coordinator/logger is a plus.
• Willingness to work OT and nights/weekends/holidays.
• Position to be performed full-time from NBCUniversal Stamford, CT.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Digitize the NBC Sports Group archives (videotape, disc, film).
• Organize and enter metadata in the asset management system.
• Review libraries to decide assets for digitization.
• Prepare tapes for external digitization.
• Edit metadata and perform trimming on new digital files.
• Track and prepare physical media for storage or return.
• Support production teams with footage searches, restores, and screeners.
• Ensure assets are updated as they move through the facility.
