Job summary

International Motors in Lisle, Illinois seeks an experienced engineer to join Certification & Compliance as a Technical Domain Owner for digital vehicle systems and emerging technologies.

You will translate regulations into practical guidance, assess impacts on design and certification, and partner with engineering, product development, governance, and legal teams to integrate compliance into programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science required with lead experience.
• Master’s degree with lead experience preferred; 5+ years in product design/development or CS.
• PhD with lead experience; 3+ years in product design/development or CS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for Certification & Compliance for assigned programs.
• Monitor and interpret emerging regulations, standards, and industry guidance.
• Assess impact of regulatory requirements on design, certification, and business objectives.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical engineering guidance and certification plans.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance into product development.
• Identify risks early and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Develop domain knowledge and technical guidance for consistent compliance decisions.
