Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking a Vehicle Inspection Specialist at our Midlothian, VA location. You will perform Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) and courtesy checks, documenting findings with photos and video before handing vehicles to the repair team.

The role requires sharp attention to detail, comfort with tablets and inspection software, and a valid Virginia driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a quick-lube facility/dealership, automotive inspection facility, or formal automotive program.
• Active Virginia State Safety Inspection License preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Meticulous eye for detail identifying leaks, wear patterns, and safety hazards.
• Strong proficiency with digital tablets, inspection software, and photo/video equipment.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Note: Virginia State Inspection license is not required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Execute Comprehensive DVIs and Courtesy Checks on all arriving vehicles using tablet technology.
• Systematically inspect fluid levels, tire tread, air pressure, brake pad thickness, battery health, lighting, belts and hoses.
• Capture clear photos and concise videos to attach to digital reports.
• Enter detailed, professional notes and measurements into the shop management system.
• Maintain a 100 DVI System Quality Score by completing all fields and media.
• Safely move and stage vehicles between parking lot, inspection bay and technician bays.
• Keep inspection area clean, safe, organized and prepared for rapid turnaround.
