Larin Automotive in Norwood, Massachusetts is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Inspection Technician to perform complete digital multipoint inspections on customer vehicles. Qualifications

• Experience in automotive inspection, maintenance, lube, or general-service preferred.
• Strong knowledge of common automotive systems and maintenance items.
• Ability to safely road-test vehicles and operate an automotive lift.
• Ability to recognize worn, damaged, leaking, loose, or unsafe components.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable using a tablet or mobile inspection application.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete digital multipoint inspections using a tablet-based inspection system.
• Road-test vehicles and document relevant observations.
• Photograph vehicle condition, warning lights, fluid leaks, damage, and other findings.
• Measure and document brake-pad thickness, tire tread depth, tire condition, and other wear items.
• Inspect lighting, fluids, filters, belts, hoses, suspension, steering, brakes, exhaust, underbody components, and other vehicle systems.
• Raise vehicles on a lift and safely remove/reinstall underbody shields when necessary.
• Write complete notes for service advisors detailing findings, location, severity, and recommended repairs.
• Communicate promptly on safety concerns or significant problems.
• Assist with oil changes, tire service, bulbs, filters, wipers, and minor maintenance if needed.
