Job summary

CFMOTO USA is seeking a Digital Surface Modeler to transform design sketches into high-quality 3D models. You’ll work with designers, clay modelers, and engineers to elevate design intent and advance the next generation of powersports vehicles.

You will create Class-A Alias models from sketches, translate 2D concepts into accurate 3D forms, and refine surface quality for multiple projects in a fast-paced studio near Minneapolis.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of automotive, transportation, or powersports digital surfacing experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Alias (Class-A, Sub-D, surface analysis).
• Strong understanding of vehicle proportions and volumes; surface tension, continuity, and reflection control.
• Ability to translate and enhance design intent, not just represent it.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality Class-A and Sub-D Alias models from sketches and design themes.
• Translate and elevate 2D concepts into compelling 3D forms with accurate proportions and theme representation.
• Refine surface quality, highlights, continuity, and reflection control.
• Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and clay sculptors throughout development.
• Support design reviews, engineering releases, and prototype activities.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects and timelines.
