Job summary

Lucid Motors in California is seeking a Senior Digital Modeler to shape the future of automotive design using Autodesk Alias. You will craft high-quality Class-A surface models for production tooling and collaborate with cross-functional teams across design and engineering.

The ideal candidate has 7–12 years of Alias experience, a strong portfolio, and a deep understanding of automotive design principles and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial design, Automotive Design, or related field.
• 7-12 years of surfacing experience with Autodesk Alias Design in a top-tier, preferably production environment.
• Extensive knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Alias Design software.
• Experience with Class-A surfacing and production-level modeling preferred.
• Strong understanding of automotive design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, creative, team environment.
• Portfolio demonstrating your 3D modeling and surfacing skills.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, precise 3D digital surface models using Autodesk Alias to accurately communicate conceptual design intent.
• Develop designs from initial concept stage to production-ready quality for tooling release.
• Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to overcome technical challenges and suggest innovative solutions.
• Work on a diverse range of projects, including advanced designs, show cars, and production vehicles.
• Maintain strong communication to ensure constructive collaboration between design, modeling, and engineering departments.
