Under the general direction of the Chief Information and Digital Strategy Executive (CIDSE), the Digital Strategy Business Analyst provides business analysis, research, and hands‑on project execution in support of IDSO strategic initiatives and IT governance. The incumbent listens past the immediate ask to the underlying business need; investigates questions through a wide range of methods, looking outward to how peer institutions and industry approach similar challenges; and distills what they learn into clear, actionable recommendations for decision‑making.
The Digital Strategy Business Analyst designs the frameworks, processes, and tools needed to carry out IDSO initiatives and IT Governance Committee work. They shepherd each effort from early planning through final delivery. The incumbent keeps the moving pieces connected, surfaces obstacles early, and sees commitments through. At every stage, they ensure the CIDSE, committees, and stakeholders have a current picture of where things stand. #CA-AR

The Information and Digital Strategy Office (IDSO) provides enterprise‑wide technology leadership across UC Davis and UC Davis Health. The office is charged with developing a unified digital strategy for the institution, one that serves the UC Davis' missions. The IDSO operates in a complex, federated environment and partners with academic, administrative, research, and health to translate institutional priorities into coordinated action. The office serves as the connective tissue between UC Davis' many technology organizations, ensuring that IT investments are strategically aligned and accountable to the university's core priorities. It also represents UC Davis within the broader UC system, ensuring that campus and health system initiatives are coordinated with systemwide goals and the UC Office of the President.
