Job summary

UNFPA in New York seeks a Digital Solutions & CoE Specialist to lead the technical execution of digital products across Headquarters, regional and country offices. You will translate the DCoE strategy into scalable, secure enterprise solutions and co-lead partnerships to mobilize resources for scaling and piloting ICT innovations.

The role combines hands-on product management with quality assurance, supporting cyber security, privacy, and human rights frameworks within a complex UN environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related discipline.
• A first-level university degree in combination with 2 additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software product management, digital transformation, system architecture, or technology‑driven development initiatives.
• Proven track record in managing technology implementation lifecycles, vendor teams, and complex digital deployments.
• Experience providing technical advisory support to decentralized or international field environments.
• Knowledge of T4D, AI, and KM systems in cloud environments.
• Experience preparing funding proposals or partnership agreements and building donor relationships.
• Desirable: experience in enterprise IT offices or digital centres of excellence.
• Strong familiarity with data privacy, enterprise architectures, and modern cloud infrastructures.
• Experience with UN system policies and operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical lifecycle, rollout, and scaling of core digital products in the DCoE.
• Draft roadmaps, requirements, and user stories for developers and vendors.
• Assess technical feasibility and digital maturity for Country Offices.
• Ensure solutions comply with cybersecurity standards, data privacy, and enterprise architecture.
• Track performance, log issues, and mitigate risks across the lifecycle.
• Provide technical assistance to regional and country offices.
• Ensure quality assurance on deliverables and system infrastructure.
• Develop SOPs, documentation guidelines, and SLAs for scaled solutions.
• Translate program needs into clear technical specifications.
