Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Digital Services Technical Manager to lead enterprise-scale cloud modernization and digital transformation initiatives for a large federal program. You will guide cross-functional teams spanning Software Development, SRE, Cloud Operations, Security, Automation, QA, Networking, and DB Engineering to improve delivery maturity.

The role demands deep AWS SRE expertise, strong leadership, and proven DevSecOps experience.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience leading enterprise IT, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering initiatives.
Proven experience coaching and developing engineers.
Extensive hands-on experience designing, building, and operating enterprise AWS environments.
Strong background implementing DevSecOps across software delivery lifecycles.
Experience building and managing modern CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Strong Kubernetes experience, including Amazon EKS and containerized apps.
Experience supporting cloud-native apps built with Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
Experience with AWS services including CloudWatch, OpenSearch, IAM, AWS WorkSpaces, AWS Session Manager.
Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog, CloudWatch, and enterprise monitoring tools.
Experience with cloud security technologies including IAM, Aqua Security, DLP, and related platforms.
Understanding of networking, cloud infra, databases, and enterprise architecture.
Programming in Python, Java, C/C++, or Ruby.
Experience leading enterprise incident management and production support.
Ability to communicate complex tech concepts to engineers, execs, and customers.
Experience facilitating root cause analysis and long-term improvements.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable supporting production systems in a 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

Lead initiatives to improve software delivery, cloud operations, and platform reliability across enterprise apps.
Drive adoption of DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and modern software engineering practices.
Partner with engineering leadership to define technical strategy and improve operational maturity.
Mentor and develop engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
Lead incident response and communicate status to executives during high-impact events.
Facilitate root cause analyses and implement long-term corrective actions.
Build scalable processes for monitoring, observability, automation, and incident response.
Oversee cloud infra, app reliability, and continuous delivery in AWS environments.
Develop technical documentation like architecture decisions and SOPs.
Collaborate in Agile teams to improve engineering processes and platform capabilities.
Support technical proposal development, RFIs, and strategic planning.
Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and improve security and ops.
Manage workload, priorities, and performance of technical staff and subcontractors.
