Kelly is seeking a Design Engineer to join a premier manufacturing client in Dearborn, MI. The role focuses on developing 3D concepts for vehicle branding, creating models and prototypes, and ensuring brand guidelines across touchpoints.

Work entails a hybrid schedule with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, offering full-time hours and opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge vehicle design within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Mid-level experience as an Industrial Designer or Product Designer (required).
  • Proficiency in Alias for 3D design (required).
  • Experience with VRED for modeling and rendering.
  • Strong hand sketching and ideation skills.
  • Experience designing manufacturable parts in plastic and metal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred exposure to automotive brand design; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine 3D design concepts for vehicle badging and branded components.
  • Create detailed 3D models, renderings, sketches, and prototypes using industry-standard tools.
  • Ensure brand consistency and adherence to design guidelines across touchpoints.

4 days onsite, 1 day remote, 40 hours per week

What’s a typical day as Design Engineer? You’ll be:
