Job summary

Elliott Davis is seeking an IT Audit Associate to join our Digital Risk Services. You will assist in planning, executing, and completing IT audit engagements, working with client teams to understand technology environments and document testing results.

The role supports IT general controls testing, bank IT audits, and SOX information technology controls. Entry-level to experienced candidates are welcomed as skills develop, with opportunities for growth and certification support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, business, or a related field.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience in IT audit, internal audit, external audit, risk consulting, information security, technology operations, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of technology risks, internal controls, and audit concepts; exposure to IT general controls or SOX preferred.
• Professional certification (e.g., CISA, CIA, CPA) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and performing IT audits, documenting environment, systems, risks and controls.
• Execute testing of IT general controls: access security, user administration, change management, operations, backup and recovery, governance.
• Support bank IT audits using FFIEC guidance and other banking regulations.
• Perform SOX IT control testing including IT general controls and automated/manual controls.
• Prepare workpapers detailing procedures, evidence, testing results and conclusions.
• Identify control gaps and help develop practical remediation recommendations.
• Communicate engagement status and requests to the engagement team.
