Job summary

Cognizant in Katy, Texas is seeking a Digital Quality Engineering Program Manager to lead end-to-end QA and QE managed services for a large-scale digital retail environment. You will coordinate with customer stakeholders, delivery leaders, product teams, and distributed onsite and offshore teams, driving automation, CI/CD, and continuous testing to improve delivery performance and quality.

This is an onsite role requiring collaboration across multiple time zones and a focus on measurable

Qualifications

• 20+ years in QA or QE with at least 8 years in test program management.
• Experience leading large-scale QA/QE managed-services engagements.
• Retail/e-commerce domain expertise across digital commerce, order management, fulfillment.
• Leading distributed onsite/offshore delivery teams and vendor management.
• Experience defining automation strategies and CI/CD practices.

About the role

As a Digital Quality Engineering Program Manager, you will make an impact by leading end-to-end Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering managed services for a large-scale digital retail environment. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with customer stakeholders, delivery leaders, digital product teams, and distributed onsite and offshore teams.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of Digital Quality Assurance managed services across Digital Commerce, Order Management Systems, Fulfillment, Marketing Technology, Test Automation, and Performance Testing.
• Own the quality engineering strategy, governance model, delivery execution, release readiness, service-level agreement compliance, quality metrics, and executive reporting.
• Direct distributed onsite and offshore teams, manage vendor performance, address customer escalations, and maintain alignment across business, technology, and quality stakeholders.
• Drive quality engineering transformation through automation adoption, continuous testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery practices, and measurable process improvements.
• Govern knowledge-transfer transitions, operational readiness, service stabilization, and program-level communication with customer and Cognizant leadership.

What you need to have to be considered

• At least 20 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering, including a minimum of eight years in test program management.
• Extensive experience leading large-scale Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering managed-services engagements, including strategy, governance, delivery, service-level agreements, and operational performance.
• Strong domain expertise in retail and e-commerce, with experience across digital commerce, order management, fulfillment, or related customer-facing platforms.
• Demonstrated experience leading distributed onsite and offshore delivery teams, managing vendors, resolving escalations, and communicating with customer and executive stakeholders.
• Experience developing automation strategies and implementing continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous testing practices.

These will help you stand out

• Experience leading enterprise-level digital quality transformation programs.
• Knowledge of performance engineering and other non-functional testing disciplines.
• Experience managing knowledge-transfer programs, operational transitions, and managed-services stabilization.
• Ability to translate quality engineering metrics, risks, and delivery performance into clear executive-level reporting.
• Strong influence, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
