Descripción del empleo

Hawthorn Creative is an award-winning agency specializing in brand development, websites, SEO/SEM, social media management, and content marketing for the hospitality and luxury space. With a proven track record of delivering results, we’re expanding our team and seeking a Digital Project Manager to join us, supporting our account management and creative teams.

About the role

You know what it takes to get a website from kickoff to launch, and you enjoy making sure all the details come together. You’re organized, comfortable with digital marketing, and happy to roll up your sleeves when something needs doing.

We’re looking for a Digital Project Manager to keep website projects and the day-to-day digital work on selected larger accounts moving smoothly. You’ll work closely with our internal team and outside partners, giving our account managers more room to focus on sales, client relationships, and account growth.

You’ll also work directly with new digital marketing clients to get their accounts set up and ready for our team. Beyond onboarding, most of your communication will be with teammates and partners, with occasional client interaction when needed. You’ll help us strengthen our processes by bringing ideas and practical improvements from your past website project management experience.

What you’ll do
  • Manage websites from kickoff to launch: define tasks, owners, scope, timelines, dependencies, and approvals.
  • Coordinate web, SEO, and paid media work across our team and partners. Gather content and creative assets, request reports, and turn recommendations into tasks.
  • Track budgets, vendor costs, and hours. Flag scope changes, overruns, and delays early, and recommend solutions.
  • Coordinate specialists’ website testing and launch checks, including SEO, accessibility, and analytics. Ensure issues are resolved and approvals are complete.
  • Load content, replace photos, and make routine updates in WordPress and Elementor. Bring in specialists when needed.
  • Improve checklists, templates, handoffs, and workflows using your experience. Keep project plans, status, budgets, and next steps current in our project management system.
  • Hold teammates and partners accountable, resolve blockers, elevate risks, and keep account managers informed.
  • Help new clients get off to a strong start by owning the operational onboarding checklist for new digital marketing clients across relevant services.
  • Guide clients through granting the appropriate access to Meta, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, WordPress, and other platforms required for their services.
  • Coordinate with internal specialists and outside partners to confirm access works and the right people have what they need to begin.
  • Follow up on missing items, keep clients and account managers informed, and hand off a complete, organized account setup to the delivery team.
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3 or more years of experience managing website design and development projects from kickoff through launch, ideally in a marketing or digital agency.
  • Practical confidence using WordPress and Elementor. You can make everyday website updates yourself and recognize when a task needs a designer, developer, or other specialist.
  • Experience and comfort in troubleshooting access to paid media platforms (Meta, Google Ads), Google Analytics, and websites.
  • A strong working understanding of web development workflows, SEO, paid search, and paid social, with enough digital knowledge to ask useful questions and spot missing steps.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, partners, deadlines, budgets, and hours using project management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and confidence guiding clients through onboarding and holding others accountable.
  • Initiative, resourcefulness, and a track record of improving how projects run. You’re willing to tackle tasks yourself and know when to ask for specialist help.
  • Bonus: experience setting up or rolling out a project management platform.
You’ll enjoy this role if…

You get real satisfaction from a well-run project, a complete checklist, and a launch that’s ready to go. You’re comfortable taking ownership, being proactive, asking questions, and improving how things work. You like bringing order to moving parts, and you’re just as willing to make a quick website update as you are to build a better workflow.

  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Remote work environment.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Collaborative and supportive work environment with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Top reasons to work with us:
  • Industry leader within hospitality marketing, known for powerful aesthetics, compelling content, and proven results.
  • Entrepreneurial company with a dynamic work environment where accomplishment and creativity are encouraged.
  • Ability to see the beautiful results of your work come to fruition, working hand in hand with top designers, content managers, developers, and senior leadership.
