Job summary

Agropur Cooperative in Minnesota seeks a senior procurement leader to own the digital procurement and AI enablement strategy. You will develop a multi-year roadmap for procurement platforms, automation, and AI use cases, and act as a thought leader on emerging technologies.

This role requires 8+ years in procurement or analytics, experience with COUPA/SAP, and a track record of leading technology initiatives in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Admin, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years in procurement, supply chain, analytics or related.
• 5+ years leading enterprise digital initiatives.
• Experience with COUPA, SAP, or related procurement tools.
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual French and English.

• Salary scale 007: $130,500 to $163 100 (Base salary will be determined based on academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

• Digital Procurement Strategy & Leadership
  • Contribute to the development, and lead the digital procurement and AI enablement strategy, as part of our overall procurement strategy, aligned with enterprise digital and source-to-pay transformation goals
  • Develop and own a multi-year roadmap for procurement platforms, automation, and AI use cases
  • Act as a thought leader on emerging procurement technologies, AI/ML applications, and best practices
• Procurement Technology & Platforms
  • Drive the business vision for core procurement systems (e.g., ERP, sourcing, CLM, supplier risk, P2P)
  • Lead selection, implementation, and optimization of digital procurement tools
• Value Realization & Performance Management
  • Establish KPIs and value-tracking mechanisms for digital and AI initiatives
  • Quantify and communicate benefits related to cost savings, productivity, cycle time reduction, and risk mitigation
  • Continuously improve solutions based on performance data and user feedback
• Change Management & Adoption
  • Lead change management, training, and adoption strategies across global procurement teams
  • Build digital and AI fluency within procurement through education and capability development
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior procurement and business leaders
• Governance & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Establish governance for digital procurement tools, data usage, and AI lifecycle management
  • Collaborate with suppliers and external partners on digital innovation initiatives

The level of rigor expected:

• Experience with COUPA is required and considered a non-negotiable qualification for this role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, digital transformation, or analytics
• 5+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide digital or technology initiatives
• Strong understanding of procurement processes (sourcing, supplier management, contracts, P2P)
• Experience with AI / machine learning or automation applied to procurement or the supply chain
• Experience implementing or managing procurement technologies and platforms
• Demonstrated success in change management and driving adoption within complex organizations
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong data-driven mindset
• Knowledge of tools such as SAP, Coupa, or similar platforms
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bilingualism – French and English
• Experience working in a global organizational environment
