Job summary

Amsive LLC in Hobart, IN is hiring a Large Format Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain oversized digital printing presses such as Durst, Vutek and HP Indigo to produce banners, signs and displays.

You will follow production schedules, adjust color profiles, monitor quality, perform routine maintenance and keep detailed records. Requires at least 2 years of large format or digital printing experience and a high school diploma; starting pay is $22 per hour with OT.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in large format or digital printing.
• Experience with running Durst, Vutek, and HP Indigo equipment is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Large Format Printing substrates and maintenance/operational practices.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating procedures.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate large format digital printing presses according to production schedules.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adjust color profiles, resolutions, and layouts based on job specs.
• Set up and configure machines for different substrates and print jobs.
• Monitor print quality and make real-time adjustments as needed.
• Ensure all materials meet quality standards and specifications before delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of production runs and material usage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

The Large Format Press Operatoris responsible forsetting up,operating, andmaintainingoversized digital printing equipment to produce high-quality graphics, banners, signs, and point-of-purchase displays. This role requires technical precision, strong color vision, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure client specifications are met on a wide variety of rigid and flexible substrates. In this role, the operator willbe responsible forrunningDurst,Vutek, andHP Indigoequipment.

What you will be doing:

• Operate large format digital printing presses while adhering to production schedules.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to ensureoptimalperformance.
• Review job specifications and make necessary adjustments to color profiles, resolutions, and layouts before printing.

• Monitor print quality throughout the printing process and make real-timeadjustmentsas necessary.

Who you are:

• Minimum of2year’sexperiencein large formatand or digital printing environment
• Experience withrunning Durst,Vutek, and HP Indigo equipmentis highlypreferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Large Format Printing Substrates and detailed Large Format Press Maintenance / operations knowledge and skills.
• Effective process management skills, excellent communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• High School Diploma or GEDrequired

Work Environment

Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility

Physical Demands:

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment

Security Clearance

Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
