Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Digital Press Operator at their Hummingbird facility in West Chester, OH. You will operate the inkjet web press, ensure quality, and follow safety protocols on multiple shifts.

Initial training may begin on first shift; afterward, you will transition to your assigned 2nd or 3rd shift. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Experience working in printing or similar industry OR as a machine operator.
• Experience working with computer systems in an industrial and/or technical environment.
• Experience troubleshooting machinery and quality issues.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing PPE.
• Operate equipment to defined standards and production specification targets
• Ensure each job printed on the inkjet web press is properly set up and prepared to specifications.
• Monitor process to maintain quality and inspect final product; identify color, shading, brightness differences.
• Document as needed in computer systems; monitor and data entry for proper operation and product quality.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform adjustments to minimize downtime and maintenance calls
• Operate and safely work around mobile equipment.
• Work as a team to meet production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and housekeeping tasks
• Communicate on shift with other operators and via email as needed
• Handle tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing/pulling for up to 12 hours daily.
