Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC seeks a Senior Manager - Digital Engineering to guide teams building scalable, secure, cloud-native digital platform capabilities. You will partner with Product, Architecture, and Security to drive modernization and deliver business value.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical excellence, and a track record delivering enterprise software at scale in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Proven success leading modernization, digital transformation, or large-scale initiatives.
• Strong foundation in software engineering and hands-on development in modern architectures.
• Experience delivering cloud-native, distributed applications and services.
• Knowledge of APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and integration frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, DevSecOps, observability, and production support.
• Understanding of scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
• Experience in Agile product delivery and delivering enterprise software.
• Ability to balance business objectives, technical debt, and long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineering teams delivering scalable, secure, and reliable digital platform capabilities.
• Drive modernization by transforming legacy apps into cloud-native solutions using modern patterns.
• Promote engineering best practices across development, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and operations.
• Provide technical leadership by reviewing designs, guiding decisions, and mitigating risks.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, UX, Infrastructure, Security and stakeholders to align priorities.
• Ensure platform reliability and operations through monitoring, incident management, and performance tuning.
• Mentor managers, tech leads, and engineers to strengthen leadership and technical capabilities.
• Drive delivery velocity, quality, and customer outcomes through engineering excellence.
