Job summary

United Pharma is seeking a Digital Plant Engineer to support a large-scale greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing project. This role will bridge Process Engineering, Automation, OT, IT, Digital, and Operations to develop digital solutions aligned with manufacturing processes, facility design, and GMP requirements.

Key responsibilities include leading data-flow mapping, contributing to Aveva PI and MES solutions, and ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance across the automation project

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical API/bulk manufacturing.
• Strong Automation & OT operations background.
• Experience with DCS engineering and batch manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV Batch DCS.
• Ability to bridge Process Engineering, Operations, Automation, IT, and Digital.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and CSV principles.

Responsibilities

• Support Digital Plant strategy, use cases, and data architecture.
• Lead data-flow mapping and support site-level data infrastructure.
• Contribute to Aveva PI, MES, historian, and digital solutions.
• Support automation philosophy, process control, and automation/MES integration.
• Translate manufacturing and operational needs into digital and automation requirements.
• Represent Automation in Digital Plant discussions and project forums.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering, Tech Transfer, IT, Automation, and End Users.
• Provide technical consulting and support across the automation project team.
• Communicate project progress, issues, risks, and requirements to project leadership.
• Ensure project deliverables meet business, GMP, regulatory, and data-integrity requirements.
