Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Software Engineer/Architect to lead the modernization of our Digital Payments platform and drive cloud-first initiatives. You will mentor teams, set architectural direction, and collaborate with ML, product, and leadership peers to deliver scalable and operable systems.

The role requires deep expertise across the full SDLC, strong communication skills, and a track record of delivering high-impact technology programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with strong foundation in software engineering and architecture.
• Minimum 7 years in software development and 7+ years in engineering/solution architecture.
• Experience with Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Swift preferred; full SDLC experience.
• Cloud technologies experience preferred (public or private).
• Networking exposure including BGP, Wi‑Fi, SD‑WAN, data center networking.
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.

• Act as a role model and mentor within the tech community.
• Coach and strengthen the technical expertise of engineering and product communities.
• Drive modernization of the Digital Payments platform to the cloud.
• Help develop brand new Digital Payments capabilities.
• Create communications, code samples, blogs, and other knowledge-sharing materials.
• Lead through technical contribution and advise on key technologies and domains.
• Promote engineering excellence, inclusion, innovation and next‑gen talent development.
• Collaborate with developers, ML experts, product managers, and senior engineers.
