Discovery Life Sciences is seeking a Laboratory Associate for the FFPE team in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on preparing, managing, and quality-controlling digital pathology samples through Whole Slide Imaging platforms while supporting global research and diagnostic initiatives.

The position combines lab operations, data handling, and collaboration with pathologists, IT, and project managers to ensure accurate sample imaging and documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous Histology or Pathology background preferred.
• Experience in life sciences.
• Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of services and data provided to customers and pathologists.
• Follow HIPAA requirements.
• Pseudonymization of samples.
• Maintain accurate records and Excel reports.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory teams on client projects.
• Create and manage cases in imaging platforms.
• Organize, file, and track FFPE tissue samples.
• Daily monitoring of scanned images in the imaging platform.
