The Glenwood-Lynwood Public Library District is seeking a friendly, patient, and technology-savvy Digital Navigator Assistant to help patrons and staff confidently navigate today’s digital world.
The Digital Navigator Assistant provides friendly, hands-on technology assistance to library patrons and staff through digital literacy classes, one-on-one instruction, and help with everyday computers, mobile devices, software, and internet needs. Advanced IT and network issues are referred to the Digital Navigator Coordinator or designated IT providers.
College coursework, a degree (or an expected completion within 2 years), technical certification, or equivalent training in IT, computer science, digital media, education, or a related field is highly desirable. Experience in customer service, technology assistance, help desk support, computer training, or digital literacy instruction is preferred. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position; must be able to work evenings and Saturdays. Hours will be dependent on library’s needs.
