Job summary

The Digital Media Coordinator at the University of Virginia School of Medicine supports the Departments of Anesthesiology and Surgery by managing social media, creating digital communications, and designing marketing materials.

Maintain departmental websites, provide photography and videography, and collaborate with faculty, staff, and university partners to advance strategic communications across multiple platforms, reporting to the Communications Manager in a fast-paced academic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1 year of relevant communications, marketing, or digital media experience.
• Strong written and visual communication; proficient in social media management and graphic design.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) strongly preferred.
• Website editing experience using CMS such as WordPress, Mura, Drupal, or Marketing Cloud; photography/videography skills.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced academic environment.
