Job summary

The University of Virginia seeks a Digital Media Coordinator to support Anesthesiology and Surgery communications, marketing, and digital engagement. Under the Communications Manager, you will help develop, produce, and distribute digital content across social media, web, and email channels to meet strategic goals.

You’ll design graphics, manage CMS updates, and capture photography/videography for events while collaborating with faculty, staff, trainees, and partners to continually improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year or more in communications, marketing, digital media, or related field.
• Experience creating content for digital platforms and managing social media.

Responsibilities

• Manage departmental social media content planning, creation, scheduling, publishing, and performance tracking.
• Develop and publish announcements, faculty/staff introductions, events, and other communications.
• Design digital and print materials (flyers, posters, graphics) per UVA brand standards.
• Edit and publish content on university CMS; ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance.
• Provide photography and basic videography for events and activities; organize media assets.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support communications initiatives and calendars.
• Other duties may be assigned.
