The Departments of Anesthesiology and Surgery at the University of Virginia School of Medicine are seeking applications for a Digital Media Coordinator to support communications, marketing, and digital engagement efforts across social media, web, and email platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant communications or digital media experience.
• Strong written and visual communication skills; experience with digital platforms preferred.
• Familiarity with social media management, graphic design, website editing, and photography.

Responsibilities

• Manage departmental social media: content planning, creation, scheduling, publication, and analytics.
• Develop and publish departmental communications: announcements, faculty/staff highlights, events.
• Design digital/print materials in line with brand standards.
• Maintain websites using CMS, perform QA, ensure accessibility and accuracy.
• Provide photography and basic videography for events and outreach; organize media assets.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and partners to support communications strategies.
