About The Role

Princeton University Press is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and creative Digital Marketing Assistant (DMA) to join our Marketing and Sales team. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in books, academia, and digital marketing. The DMA will play a key role in executing advertising strategies for approximately 250 books each year, coordinating digital campaigns, managing advertising schedules, and contributing to social media outreach and launch coordination.

This position offers flexible work arrangements: remote (U.S. only), hybrid, or based full-time in Princeton, NJ.

Responsibilities

Print & Digital Advertising

• Support the implementation of ad plans for ~250 annual book titles
• Research and propose advertising strategies for trade and academic titles
• Coordinate and submit ad reservations with external partners
• Proofread and edit ads to ensure brand and factual accuracy
• Manage advertising schedules (500+ ads/year) and maintain database via Salesforce
• Track and process advertising invoices
• Set up and monitor Facebook/Instagram ad campaigns targeting appropriate audiences
  
  

Social Media Engagement

• Post timely updates on media hits, author events, translations, conferences, and awards across Bluesky, Facebook, and LinkedIn
• Collaborate with the Assistant Marketing Manager on social outreach content
  
  

Launch Project Coordination

• Serve as project manager for seasonal book launches
• Maintain and update launch schedules and dashboards
• Organize internal materials and track milestones across marketing teams
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 6 months of publishing, marketing, or administrative experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize under deadlines
• Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
• Comfort with digital platforms, including Meta Ads Manager and Salesforce (preferred)
• Interest in scholarly publishing and book marketing
