Job summary

Owens Corning in Ohio seeks a Digital Manufacturing Leader – Strategy Development to design and maintain the enterprise digital manufacturing strategy and roadmaps that will deliver digital solutions aligned with the business.

You will partner with manufacturing stakeholders, drive Industry 4.0 initiatives, and communicate strategy to senior leadership while building talent and aligning global roadmaps; travel 15–20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• 10 years’ experience executing manufacturing systems and technology projects
• 5+ years’ experience with manufacturing systems innovation and solution development

Responsibilities

• Build relationships within the organization, cross-functionally, and with key business stakeholders; continuously enhance connection to remain aligned with core objectives.
• Understand the strategic direction of the company’s businesses and develop technical strategies to enhance business results; lead conversations while aligning team objectives with those of the key business stakeholders.
• Know what best-in-class IT organizations do and obtain outside-in market insights to understand and then apply to positively impact Owens Corning.
• Build digital technology strategies to deliver on Industry 4.0 initiatives across the global manufacturing platform, focusing on core foundations, worker enablement, assets and process health and manufacturing intelligence to drive safety, productivity and positive employee experience
• Partners closely with key manufacturing stakeholders to build and maintain strategic roadmaps for innovation and deployment of digital manufacturing solutions
• Effectively influence and communicate Digital Manufacturing strategy with senior leadership
• Delivers and communicates short-term and long-term digital manufacturing strategic plans for the enterprise and for individual businesses
• Participate with the broader Global Infrastructure and Operations (GIO) organization to develop an ongoing strategy that will enhance the ways in which service and operations can improve business value and meet the needs of our users.
• Maintain a deep level of knowledge for digital manufacturing products, platforms, and services.
• Integrate mega-trends, external perspectives, and OC business insights into the digital manufacturing strategy
• Identify areas of waste; ideate and execute on aligned action plans to create productivity
• Participate in special programs or projects that support the long-term strategic goals of the organization
• Identify and lead opportunities to improve the effectiveness, value, and perception of the organization
• Provide impactful peer-to-peer leadership to others on the team, contributing to their development.
• Assist in building the talent pipeline, mentoring, and developing members of the team.
