Job summary

Corning is seeking a skilled engineer to design, develop, and implement digital solutions across multiple manufacturing plants. You will lead or significantly contribute to cost-reduction and quality improvements by applying latest digital and automation technologies.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing automation, strong programming in Python/C#/HTML/JavaScript, and experience with web development tools (.NET, Flask, IIS, VS, Git). The role does not sponsor immigration.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years manufacturing industry experience with automation/optimization projects.
• Programming experience in Python, C#, HTML, and JavaScript; web development related skills (.NET, Flask, IIS, Visual Studio, Git).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing solutions using digital technologies and data analytics.
• Develop deep knowledge of processes to identify optimization opportunities and write proposals for cross-functional projects.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to apply data analysis to understand manufacturing processes and drive improvements.
• Utilize statistical analysis to design for process capability.
• Lead projects in a multidisciplinary R&D environment to identify digital transformation opportunities.
• Document findings and transfer new process technologies, providing training to staff.
