Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a senior IT role focused on designing and implementing digital strategies across multiple manufacturing plants. You will lead projects that reduce costs, improve quality, and enable process capability by applying the latest digital and automation technologies.

You will partner with operations, supply chain, and finance to deploy transformative initiatives, mentoring teams and documenting results for engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years manufacturing industry experience with automation/optimization.
• Programming experience in Python, C#, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Programming-related skills related to web development, .NET, Flask, Microsoft IIS, Visual Studio, Git.
• Analysis/Reporting experience with tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL, PowerBI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement solutions for manufacturing leveraging digital technologies and data analytics.
• Develop knowledge of processes to identify optimization opportunities and write cross-functional proposals.
• Collaborate with professionals across manufacturing and engineering, applying data analysis to understand processes.
• Use statistics to design for process capability.
• Lead multi-disciplinary projects for digital business transformation.
• Facilitate transfer of new process control technologies and train personnel.
• Document findings and prepare technical reports; generate IP through disclosures and patents.
