Job summary

University of Central Florida's Center for Distributed Learning is hiring an on-site Digital Learning Systems Analyst (Applications Systems Analyst I). You will bridge business needs and development teams, manage digital learning applications, and drive SDLC analysis using tools like Power BI, Excel, Access, and Apache Superset to deliver actionable insights for students and faculty.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), experience with enterprise digital learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
• Experience supporting enterprise, web-based, or digital learning applications in higher education or a similarly complex environment, including portfolio management, system upgrades, and post-implementation activities.
• Applied programming experience — reading, writing, troubleshooting, or supporting application code.
• Proficiency in functional testing, issue tracking, and system change documentation; experience coordinating stakeholder communication and change management for technology implementations.
• Familiarity with FERPA, ADA, WCAG, and LTI standards, and an understanding of higher education administrative processes and cross-functional coordination in a service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts business and systems analysis to support software development portfolio intake, requirements gathering, prioritization, and evaluation of functional and operational needs for digital learning applications.
• Develops and maintains functional requirements, process documentation, technical specifications, and scope summaries to support software development planning and ongoing portfolio management.
• Analyzes business processes, workflows, system functionality, and stakeholder needs to recommend functional solutions, process improvements, and service delivery enhancements.
• Coordinates documentation, communication, training, and change management activities associated with application enhancements, updates, and stakeholder adoption efforts.
• Supports the full application lifecycle — including implementation, testing, upgrades, release activities, post-implementation support, and minor code or configuration updates as needed.
• Provides functional and technical support by executing testing and validation, troubleshooting system issues, assisting developers with incident investigation, and coordinating stakeholder communication related to system changes and service improvements.
