Under general supervision at Texas Southern University Online |Digital Learning Innovation & Professional Education, theDigital Learning Facilitator serves as a support conduit forstudents, staff, and faculty, facilitating the effective use ofinstructional technologies and emerging digital tools, including Aiin teaching, learning, and career preparation. The facilitatorcreates and provides hands-on training, support, and consultationto enhance student engagement, professional development, andacademic success.
This position supports the University’s student success and digitaltransformation initiatives by assisting with the responsibleimplementation and adoption of learning technologies, includingartificial intelligence (Ai) tools. The Digital LearningFacilitator works closely with students, staff, and faculty topromote innovative learning practices, improve digital literacy,and ensure successful integration, thereby directly contributing tostudent engagement, retention, and persistence.
- Provides frontline student support for learning technologies,including an understanding of the ethical and responsible use ofAi.
- Design, deliver, and train on ethical Ai-enabled approachesthat support everyday workflows.
- Develop and maintain practical Ai learning resources,playbooks, and knowledge-based resources that translate complexconcepts into actionable business practices.
- Facilitate live workshops and executive sessions focused on Aiadoption, workflow, transformation, and responsible Ai use.
- Design multi-modal learning experiences including self-pacedresources, live instruction, demonstrations, andhands-on exercises.
- Gather participant feedback and program metrics to continuouslyimprove curriculum, engagement, and adoption outcomes.
- Partner and collaborate with students, staff, and instructorsto identify learning gaps and design targeted Ai enablementstrategies.
- Conducts individual consultations and group training sessionswith students, staff, and faculty on Ai and emerging digitaltools.
- Creates and maintains training materials, tutorials, userguides, and knowledge-based resources.
- Design initiatives and digital learning projects that directlyimpact student preparation and professional development.
