Job summary
The Boeing Company seeks a Digital Infrastructure Software Engineering Manager to lead a 10–15 person DevOps team in Berkeley, MO, focusing on platform reliability, automation, and security for the Air Dominance program.
The role requires a US Secret clearance, leadership experience, and strong software engineering and cloud engineering knowledge to drive DevOps practices and delivery velocity.
Qualifications
- Active U.S. Security Clearance required.
Responsibilities
- Integrate with stakeholders to understand program-wide requirements for reporting, observability, and execution.
- Lead 10-15 engineers to establish processes, tooling, and automations for reliability, deployment velocity, and security.
- Coach and train teams to promote DevOps best practices (automation, IaC, monitoring).
- Coordinate with product management, architecture, and stakeholders to align backlogs and infrastructure plans.
- Manage inter-team dependencies, risks, and integration points across platforms.
- Define and track metrics (deployment success, lead time, MTTR, change failure rate).
- Drive continuous improvement from feedback from managers and engineers.
- Manage budgets and forecasts for DevOps initiatives and modernization.
- Ensure security and compliance in all DevOps activities (DevSecOps).
