Job summary

Auburn University Libraries is seeking a Graduate Student Assistant to help maintain the AlabamaMosaic site and support digital humanities projects. The student will work up to 10 hours weekly, with scheduling between 7:45 a.m.

and 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, under the project coordinator and AU Libraries IT team. The role provides hands-on experience with metadata standards, XSLT, and Dublin Core in a public-history context, and requires enrollment as a graduate student at Auburn

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled graduate student at Auburn University with interest in digital humanities.
• Must include a cover letter and provide detailed availability within library hours.
• Interest in public service and collaborative work with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Assist project coordinator with updating and maintaining the AlabamaMosaic site.
• Inventory active collections and verify links to participant collections.
• Generate usage statistics using Google Analytics for quarterly reports.
• Ingest new collections into the AlabamaMosaic index and update metadata.
• Coordinate with AU Libraries IT on harvesting scripts and metadata standards.
