Job summary

IKEA in Syracuse is seeking a Digital Graphic Design & Communication Associate to design digital assets, optimize graphics, and support store communications across channels. You will collaborate with leadership to create on-brand materials and ensure timely delivery in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role involves producing banners, signage, and printed materials for the store, contributing to sustainability initiatives, and staying current with retail design trends.

Qualifications

2+ years of digital graphic design experience.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and pre-press production tools.
Install banners & signages throughout the store.
3D printing background preferred.
Associate's degree in Graphic Design or similar preferred.
Strong portfolio demonstrating digital and marketing design work.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
A passion for home furnishing, retailing, design and how people live at home.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Enthusiastic about assignments and working with others in a team.
Physical Demands: Lifting up to 50lbs and walking frequently.

Responsibilities

Create and optimize digital graphics for various screen sizes and platforms.
Executes department graphic communication action plan to grow the business and increase profitability.
Produces and installs graphic banner communications throughout the store in line with the IKEA concept and visual brand identity.
Ensures the implementation of graphic communication is cost-efficient, and supports the company's sustainability initiatives.

Remains up to date on graphic communication and retail trends.

JOB TYPE – Permanent, Full-time

BENEFITS ELIGIBLE? Yes

HOURS – 34-40 hours per week. Retail environment. Must have complete open working availability Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00AM to 9:00PM, and Saturdays & Sundays from 7:00AM to 5:00PM.

The hourly pay rate range for this role is $19.96 - $22.95
