Job summary

The City of Peoria, AZ is seeking a highly qualified Digital Forensics Unit Detective to join the department's investigative team. The role requires recent DFU experience, maintaining electronic evidence, and working either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.

Candidates will complete Detective FTO and Patrol FTO training; failure to complete Patrol FTO may lead to reassignment. A one-year probation applies, with on-call duties and possible overtime to support Patrol staffing.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience as a DFU Detective recovering, analyzing, and preserving electronic evidence.
• Must be currently in the role or have worked in the DFU Detective role within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work schedule typically Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, 0700–1700.
• On-call assignments average one week per month.
• Assist with staffing shortages in Patrol and may require occasional overtime.
