• Conceive, shoot, edit, and publish original short-form video content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and our website
• Lead with social and digital storytelling — then adapt content for broadcast use
• Produce 3–5 social-first video pieces per week that are platform-native and audience-driven
• Identify stories that the Wisconsin audience needs to know and adapt them for digital
• Collaborate daily with WMTV's digital content team within an established workflow
• Write digital headlines, captions, and copy optimized for web and social engagement
• Cover breaking news and community stories with a digital-first lens
• Understand and apply basic SEO principles to digital content
• Track performance metrics and use data to inform future content decisions
• Contribute to broadcast newscasts— but always build for digital first
