Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Los Angeles is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate for Digital Finance Transformation within PEPI. You will blend advanced Python/SQL skills with finance operations to modernize data environments, automate processes, and deliver analytics-driven insights that improve cash flow and EBITDA.

The role focuses on designing and operationalizing digital solutions for portfolio companies, collaborating with CFOs, Controllers, and FP&A leaders to drive measurable performance

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional experience; consulting or professional services experience preferred.
• Advanced Python programming experience, including familiarity with machine‑learning libraries such as scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric).
• Experience with ETL/orchestration tools (Dagster, Temporal, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Fivetran, Matillion).
• Demonstrated ability to develop lightweight finance applications using Streamlit or Retool.
• Solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts, including forecasting, working‑capital management, and three‑statement modeling.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to translate between finance and technology teams.
• Ability to travel as required.
