Job summary

Viasat is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Process and Systems leader to drive the enterprise rollout of MES and Shop Floor Control, and to shape a digital factory roadmap that speeds time to market while improving quality and agility.

You will lead a cross-functional team of analysts and engineers, partner with manufacturing, quality, IT, and business units, and apply AI, data science, and automation to transform operations at scale.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Manufacturing within a high-tech aerospace and defense environment.
Knowledgeable on the product realization tool chain including CAD Modelling, Product Data Mgmt, Product Lifecycle Mgmt, MRP, and Shop Floor Control.
Extensive knowledge of key Functions such as Design Engineering, Configuration Mgmt, NPI, Mfg Engineering, Production Test, and Quality.
Skilled in Process Engineering, Process Improvement, Business Process Analysis and Management.
Knowledgeable on industry standard processes in MES and Shop Floor Control.
Skilled in Project mgmt. and team leadership.
Experience with portfolio management and functional technology roadmaps.
Experience with regulated environments such as ITAR, FAA, etc.
Strong relationship building, teamwork and communication skills.
Skilled in articulating value and developing effective business cases.
US citizenship required
Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Manage the rollout of Manufacturing Execution and Shop Floor Control Systems enterprise wide.
Develop and manage the digital factory roadmap.
Provide the vision and multi-year strategic plan for process capabilities and technologies that provides the optimal pace of transformation in the near and longer term.
Lead and grow a versatile team of Process Analysts, Systems Analysts, and Data Analysts.
Effectively manage the relationship with users, stakeholders, and functional leaders.
Leverage Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Robotic Process Automation, and Intelligent Process Automation to transform manufacturing capabilities.
Develop approaches for implementing emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, and IOT.
Develop, refine, and inform on relevant metrics and KPIs that demonstrate transformation progress and the associated impact to business performance.
