Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a Digital Experience Specialist to maintain a complex technology environment so that students, teachers, and staff can stay focused on learning. The role supports multiple schools and administrative sites with a deep technical understanding of the digital learning environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating technology purchases, managing incidents, deploying and maintaining equipment, and developing documentation for staff and students.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or two years of equivalent IT experience.
  • Certifications such as MCP/MCSA, ITILv4, HDI, A+, N+ preferred.

  • Communicate system changes, issues, and projects to staff.
  • Own incidents reported by staff and students and ensure timely resolution.
  • Deploy, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain technology equipment and peripherals.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of equipment for buildings, students, and staff.
  • Perform system administration tasks, including user accounts and district-approved software.
  • Implement emerging technologies, monitor progress, and report findings to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge articles and technical documentation for students and staff.

Job Overview

The Digital Experience Specialist maintains a complex technology environment and ensures all technology elements are operating effectively so that students, teachers, and staff can remain focused on student learning. This position maintains a deeper technical understanding of the digital learning environment and serves as a support resource for Digital Experience Specialists across multiple schools and administrative sites.

Digital Experience Specialists may be reassigned to assist and/or support other locations to meet the needs of the district, in accordance with School Board Policy.

Roles And Responsibilities

The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; work may differ and other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate.

  • Consults with staff to maintain all technology elements within the assigned location.
  • Collaborates with school or departmental staff for technology purchases and the effective allocation of technology resources.
  • Communicates with staff regarding system changes, ongoing issues, and upcoming projects.
  • Serves as assigned owner of all incidents reported by staff and students and ensures resolution in a timely and effective manner.
  • Deploys, installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains all technology equipment and peripherals within the assigned location.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of technology equipment assigned to buildings, students, and staff.
  • Performs system administration work to include user account management and installation of district approved software.

Qualifications
Education

Associates degree or two years of equivalent experience in an Information Technology field

Experience
Licenses and Certifications

MCP or MCSA, ITILv4, HDI, A+, N+ certifications preferred

Physical Requirements

The employee may climb a ladder and work in confined spaces.

Months/ Days/ Hours: 12 Months/ 254 Days/ 8 hours

Salary Level: Universal/Scale B - Level 8

Salary Scale: https://www.lcps.org/compensation

Salary Range: $29.20 - $37.58
